The eyes are the focal point of this look and a veritable manifesto for graphic modernity. Peter Phillips explained: “I used the deep bronze shade from the 5 Couleurs palette Parisian sky, which I applied as a colour-block in a single sweep over the entire eyelid, from the lash root to the eyebrows. This extreme look was chosen to contrast with the Baroque beauty of the décor”. Eyebrows were emphasized with Diorshow Brow Chalk.
COMPLEXION
Very luminous, sculpted with subtle touches to structure faces as described by Peter Philips: “After evening out the complexion with Diorskin Forerver Fluid Foundation, I created shape by gently contouring with the DiorBlush Light & contour jumbo stick. Applied to the hollows of the cheeks as well as the parts of the face that catch the light, its two shades enabled us to emphasize the architecture of the face in a nuanced transparent way: As a finishing touch, I applied just a hint of iridescent Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer. This make-up, blended gradually in a ‘pointillist” style, provided a natural and luminous result”.
LIPS
Very natural, emphasized very slightly with light peach shade of Dior Addict Gloss in Gorgeous.

Beauty Look for Spring|Summer 2017
Peter Philips, the Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, celebrates a color-loaded spring season by revisiting the “gradient makeup” trend in the Colour Gradation collection, embodied by the model Lindsey Wixson, the House’s newest beauty looks ambassador.
The principle of “gradient makeup”? Clashing colors and fading shades to allow for the boldest of looks. It’s a trend that Peter Philips reinvents according to the art of color that has always been the Dior makeup signature. The lips are worked up in different shades of pink to evoke a bee-stung mouth, the eyelids exhibit a spectrum that’s alternately soft and electric, a tie-dye effect sets cheekbones alive. The Colour Gradation look offers the freedom of total experimentation, from subtly faded shades that melt into the skin’s natural tone, to the most out-there effects.
